Even though we don’t know how consciousness works, many studies claim it is generated by electromagnetism. We don’t know for sure if this is correct; it is only one of the few measurable signals we see in conjunction with consciousness. We cannot, however, assert that electromagnetism is consciousness itself—only that a consistent correlation exists.
Now look at panpsychism. First, we take the previously confirmed correlation we’ve seen—consciousness = electromagnetism—as an argument: although it doesn’t seem to confirm the origin, a correlation is still observed.
Bring this in: the Sun constantly hosts extremely powerful electromagnetic storms; these control solar flares. Do you see the connection? Can we, half-jokingly yet completely seriously, draw a parallel: many solar flares = is the Sun angry? The Moon also displays electromagnetic phenomena we can’t fully explain, yet we constantly see evidence of them.
Take it again: consciousness = electromagnetism. Does this imply a third link in the chain in the Moon’s case, since the phenomenon appears without any firmly proven scientific explanation? Does the Moon “think” and thereby produce electromagnetism, just as our brains do?
“Your consciousness is part of a vast, unified field—not separate, but locally conditioned. Each ‘you’ is a limited vantage point in that same consciousness soup. Consciousness becomes meaningful only when filtered through the ego’s subjective lens; without that filter it remains noumenal: the raw, ineffable ground.
By tapping into this universal field, each mind draws more of it in. The more it draws, the stronger the feedback, evolving the local expression. In other words, we are all individualized filters of the same unified soul, each contained within our bodies. Yet this remains utterly ineffable, because the field can never escape being transformed into phenomena by our ego’s perception.”
